Dating from 1670, Skinners’ Hall is a Grade I-listed building with a history that’s as rich as its interiors. Home to one of the City’s ‘great 12’ livery companies, it combines stately halls, elegant chambers and homelier rooms with a warm atmosphere.
Our clients held their wedding reception party at this prestigious London venue. Skinners’ Hall is the home of The Worshipful Company of Skinners at the delightful address of 8 1/2 Dowgate Hill in London EC4.
Guests entered through the ceremonial gates and a paved courtyard before heading to the Old Court Room for a drinks reception, and then after speeches to the centrepiece Great Hall for dinner. The Roof Garden, a tranquil space surrounding a fountain, suits summer entertaining, and we found it useful for a few informal group photographs. Meanwhile the Outer Hall, with its roaring fire, comes into its own in winter, as well as here for dancing.
Whatever the setting for your London wedding, be it great or small, our aim is to create beautiful, natural photographic images that convey the genuine emotion of the day with authenticity.
“First of all a HUGE THANK YOU for the most beautiful photographs. You completely captured the spirit of the day for us … and we shall re-live it many times through your wonderful images. Secondly, (we) couldn’t believe how discreet you were – you blended in with the guests and caught us all unawares, which was exactly what we wanted. I shall recommend you to everyone who asks me.” (Mother of Bride)
