One Whitehall Place

These clients chose One Whitehall Place, adjoining The Royal Horseguards hotel, and formerly the National Liberal Club, as the location for their wedding celebrations. The ceremony took place in the Gladstone Library after which drinks were served on the terrace overlooking the River Thames.  The wedding guests were  invited to sit down to a  formal dinner at long tables adorned with flowers in the Banqueting House. Dinner was followed by dancing.

One Whitehall Place has a truly elegant interior reminiscent of a grand French chateau with panelled rooms and high ceilings and beautiful architectural details including  a sweeping marble staircase. The natural light created by the floor to ceiling windows is wonderful for producing classic images in both colour and black and white.

Josephine’s 1930’s style satin drop back dress was designed and made by Jacqueline Byrne.  and the overall feel of the wedding was that of understated elegance. The flowers were by Liz Inigo Jones at Blue Sky Flowers.
