Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew
We were delighted to be asked to photograph a Hindu wedding ceremony in the beautiful surroundings of Kew Gardens. The couple married in the Nash Conservatory – a stunning glasshouse flooded with natural light – which was large enough to accommodate over 200 guests. The mandap was designed and created by Red Pearl Creations and the flowers by Liz at Blue Sky flowers. The wedding party then enjoyed a relaxed walk through the gardens in the beautiful autumn light to the Prince of Wales conservatory for a post-wedding drinks reception, whilst we spent a few moments traveling the gardens with the bride and groom, and making a few informal photographs in favourite locations. Later we rejoined the guests for dinner and dancing in The Orangery.
The colours of this wedding were a particular joy, but we always deliver every image in both colour and ‘black and white’ versions as monochrome even here, has its own intrinsic timeless charm.
