Ham Polo Club
Ham Polo Club is a really lovely wedding venue in south-west London and is actually the oldest and only remaining polo club close to central London. Although we’ve photographed lots of weddings at the Hurlingham Club – with which Ham Polo Club is associated – and Petersham Nurseries nearby, it was not until this summer that we started photographing weddings at Ham Polo Club and it is quickly becoming one of our favourite London venues. We’ve really enjoyed Ham Polo Club’s effortless, unstuffy ambience and photogenic country setting. Couples get exclusive use of the pavilion-style club house that looks out across the well-manicured polo lawns to the front. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed and you can catch a glimpse of Ham House through the trees and the polo ponies being put through their paces. Ham Polo club house has the most wonderful old grape vine that creates a canopy of leaves and deep red grapes and as well as an elegant dining area, it has a chilled out bar and sofa area and terrace. The parquet floor is great for dancing and the whole place lends itself to a great wedding party.
