Cripps Barn Gloucestershire
Cripps Barn, near Bibury, Cirencester, in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds, is a fabulous Eighteenth Century agricultural barn that makes for a perfect modern party barn, and it is one which we always enjoy visiting in our capacity as Gloucestershire wedding photographers.
The barn has flagstone floors, a huge open fireplace and wooden beams, and is commonly used for civil marriage ceremonies, (wet weather) drinks receptions and later for dancing. Alongside there is a new oak framed building housing a permanent bar and tables for dining.
A crucial factor we feel, in the success of this venue is the position of the barn in open countryside, enabling dancing to continue later into the night than at other venues, and a suitably wild wedding party atmosphere to develop! Outside, the grounds provide delightful backdrops for portraits of our lucky couples and their families with the minimum of fuss and planning required. Later the open fire pit lures the guests out again to enjoy the grounds into the night, as well as illuminating them in a warm glowing light for our camera.
